In a significant push to legalise online gambling in Indiana, the Indiana State Republic Ethan Manning submitted a House Bill 432 last week that argues to legalise online casino-styled games, and virtual lotteries under the Indiana Gaming Commission in 2025. (More Sports News)
However, this isn't Manning's first attempt to legalise poker and casino-styled games, having backed or sponsored previous efforts before. Manning himself has been a vocal advocate of legalizing online gambling in the state.
The most recent of these was a previous 2023 bill, that was part of the high-profile scandal involving ex-legislator Sean Eberhart.
The debacle that time not only harmed the bill's progress through the Indiana General Assembly, but also resulted in long legislative cooling-off period over the course of 2024.
However, Manning is confident that the bill will be passed on this time and will initiate the legalizing of iGaming sector in the state. Should he succeed, it will then enable eligible venues, such as riverboat casinos, racetracks, gaming permit holders, casinos, etc.
