After having a stellar opening on Day 1, Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava saw a drop in its collections on its first Monday. However, on Day 5, it witnessed a slight growth of 5.21% from its Monday collections. Vicky Kaushal-starrer collected Rs 25.25 crore on Tuesday, taking the total box office collection to Rs 165.75 (nett) crore, as reported by Sacnilk. Chhaava’s gross collection in India stands at Rs 198.85 crore.
Chhaava had an overall 32.52% Hindi occupancy with maximum occupancy during the night shows of 51.70%, evening shows witnessed 33.76% occupancy, afternoon shows had 26.42% occupancy and morning shows had occupancy of 18.19%.
The worldwide box office collection of Chhaava is Rs 228.85 crore crore in five days.
Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, Chhaava is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Vicky played the titular character. The period drama is adapted from the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant.
Apart from Vicky Kaushal, the film also starred Rashmika Mandanna who played Maharani Yesubai, and Akshaye Khanna played Aurangzeb.
Ashutosh Rana portrayed the role of Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite and Divya Dutta was seen as Soyarabai.
