Opting to bat first, Canada lost two early wickets inside the Powerplay. However, Canada's decision to bat first backfired as they found themselves at 99-7 at one time before Jaskaran Singh's 26-ball 60 lifted them to 168 for 9 in 20 overs.
In reply, Team USA lost Shayan Jahangir early on but Monank along with Saiteja Mukkamalla stitched up a partnership as they put the side back in the contest.
After the fall of Monank Patel, it was down to Milind Kumar (31) and Sanjay Krishnamurthi (29 not out) to complete the formality as USA lifted the inaugural North American T20 Cup 2025.
Canada won the toss and opted to bat in George Town.
