There have been several reports suggesting that Ranveer Singh starrer Don 3 might be postponed or shelved. Farhan Akhtar's production house, Excel Entertainment, has now cleared the air, confirming that the upcoming film is progressing as per the schedule.
On behalf of the production house, a spokesperson issued a statement that read: “The makers and Ranveer Singh are on the same page that the timelines of Don 3 remain unchanged. Any such news of postponement is not true".
The statement further read: “With the timelines firmly in place, the mandates for Don 3 remain ambitious -- delivering a cinematic spectacle that lives up to the franchise라이브 바카라 legacy while setting new benchmarks".
In August 2023, Farhan Akhtar announced Ranveer Singh would be playing the iconic role of Don in the third film of the franchise. The announcement was made with a teaser where Ranveer was seen with his back to the camera and lighting a cigarette before he turns to reveal himself as Don.
Amitabh Bachchan played the titular character in the 1978 Don. Shah Rukh Khan essayed the character in the remake, which came out in 2006, followed by Don 2 in 2011-- both directed by Farhan Akhtar.
The film is reportedly to begin production in June 2025. Kiara Advani has joined the team. However, the rest of the cast and other details regarding the film are yet to be unveiled.
