Filmmaker Sam Levinson, who created the show ‘Euphoria’ starring Angus Cloud and Zendaya, has said that he tried several times to get the late Angus get clean and sober.
Cloud, who died back in July, was revealed to have accidentally overdosed on from a lethal mix of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine and benzodiazepines.

In a new interview, the creator of the drama series opened up about바카라 웹사이트Cloud라이브 바카라 struggles with addiction during production and his own struggles to바카라 웹사이트help바카라 웹사이트the actor바카라 웹사이트get바카라 웹사이트clean and바카라 웹사이트sober. Those efforts included multiple interventions and rehab stints.
Levinson, who had said that바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트began to see that something was off with the actor, told 'People' magazine, “I looked him in the eye and I knew that바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트wasn’t doing well,”바카라 웹사이트Levinson바카라 웹사이트said.
“At the same time I’ve been in these situations before where you’re trying to바카라 웹사이트get바카라 웹사이트someone clean. And I just said to him, ‘I love working with you and we’ve got this amazing season planned and stuff, but I need you to be바카라 웹사이트sober바카라 웹사이트because I got to be able to rely on you.'”
The actor entered a 30 day in-patient rehab which was followed by three months of outpatient treatment. HBO footed the rehab bill.바카라 웹사이트He바카라 웹사이트came back to the show and went to rehab again when they were five episodes into the season.
That stint was also courtesy of an intervention by바카라 웹사이트Levinson바카라 웹사이트who바카라 웹사이트says바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트told the actor, “You’ve got to바카라 웹사이트get바카라 웹사이트help바카라 웹사이트and you’ve got to바카라 웹사이트get바카라 웹사이트help바카라 웹사이트right now.”
As soon as the episode wrapped,바카라 웹사이트Levinson바카라 웹사이트and his wife drove바카라 웹사이트Cloud바카라 웹사이트to treatment. “I could always feel that바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트didn’t want sobriety as much as we all wanted it for him. That included keeping him on the show, even after his character was supposed to have died.
“Angus바카라 웹사이트was supposed to die at the end of the first season, but I loved him so f much,”바카라 웹사이트Levinson바카라 웹사이트said. "The first thing I noticed about him was바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트had those Paul Newman eyes ... and his audition tape where바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트said that his name was바카라 웹사이트Angus바카라 웹사이트Cloud바카라 웹사이트and바카라 웹사이트he라이브 바카라 ‘five foot 12.’ It killed me".
“He바카라 웹사이트was perfect. I think part of the problem is I would sometimes put actors ahead of the show at바카라 웹사이트times. So I was like, ‘Okay, I can’t kill him because then what is바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트to look forward to?'",바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트added.
Once Season 2 wrapped,바카라 웹사이트Levinson바카라 웹사이트and바카라 웹사이트Cloud바카라 웹사이트had a long talk, and the Euphoria creator told the actor바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트wouldn’t be allowed on set if바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트wasn’t바카라 웹사이트sober.
“No, no, I’m good. I’m good,”바카라 웹사이트Levinson바카라 웹사이트said바카라 웹사이트Cloud바카라 웹사이트told him. But바카라 웹사이트Levinson바카라 웹사이트knew different. “I could tell, at that time, it was like바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트wasn’t interested.바카라 웹사이트He바카라 웹사이트wasn’t going to do anything, and yeah,바카라 웹사이트he바카라 웹사이트didn’t want it.”
