Meanwhile, international oil benchmark Brent crude rose 0.11 per cent to $75.23 per barrel.
In a separate development, the rupee settled nearly flat, 1 paise higher, to close at 75.77 against the dollar on Monday tracking a muted trend in domestic equities.
