On 29th November 2024, Shri Praveen Kumar, Managing Director, DFCCIL, has conducted a detailed inspection of the DFCCIL Vadodara unit section, from New Bhestan to New Makarpura, accompanied by senior officials of DFCCIL, including Shri Sandesh Srivastava (ED/DFCCIL) and Shri S.P. Verma (GGM/BD&BA). Shri Manish Gupta, CGM/Vadodara, along with his team, played a pivotal role in facilitating the inspection.
The Managing Director conducted a meticulous review of the maintenance and operational standards of the section, which included tracks, stations, and staff quarters. He commended the exceptional upkeep and effective management practices demonstrated by the Vadodara unit.
During the visit, Shri Praveen Kumar inaugurated the Intermediate Maintenance Sub Depot (IMSD) at New Gothangam, a facility expected to significantly enhance maintenance operations in the region.
During the visit, the Managing Director also observed two key safety initiatives:
“Jan Rakshak Device” – A system designed to provide pre-warning signals to the public about approaching trains, aimed at reducing accidents.
Nukkad Natak Program – Interactive street plays conducted to raise awareness about railway safety and prevent run-over incidents.

The Vadodara unit was officially declared the “Best Maintained Section” of DFCCIL, a testament to its commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
In addition to the inspection, Shri Praveen Kumar visited proposed sites for Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals (GCTs) at New Udhana, New Sanjali, and New Gothangam. He reviewed progress and engaged with prospective investors and developers to discuss plans for establishing business facilities, cargo terminals and warehouses to support the region's logistics and economic growth.

On 30th November 2024, Shri Praveen Kumar, Managing Director, along with Shri Manish Gupta, CGM/Vadodara and Shri Manish Awasthi CGM/Ahmedabad and DFCCIL team also visited NHSRCL Track Slab Manufacturing factory at Anand, Gujarat.
