The decision of the Bharatiya Janata Party to field controversial former MLA Kapil Mishra from Karawal Nagar did not go well within the party. The sitting MLA from Karawal Nagar, Mohan Singh Bisht, said that the party라이브 바카라 decision to field anyone is a big mistake.
"The BJP thinks they will field anyone and he will win. This is a big mistake,” Bisht said to news agency ANI.
Bisht added that the only time will tell what will happen in the constituencies. He also said that he will file his nomination from Karawal Nagar. “Only time will tell what will happen in Burari, Karawal Nagar, Ghonda, Seelampur, Gokalpuri and Nand Nagri seats. I will not contest from any other seat. I will file my nomination from the Karawal Nagar seat, before January 17," he said.
BJP Candidates
The party on Saturday released its second list of candidates for upcoming Delhi Assembly elections where they have named former Aam Aadmi Party leader Kapil Mishra from Karawal Nagar. In its list of 29 candidates, also lies the name of Harish Khurana, son of former Delhi chief minister Madan Lal Khurana, who has been fielded from the Moti Nagar constituency.
The party's sitting Lakshmi Nagar MLA Abhay Verma has been fielded from the same constituency again. With the second list, the party has so far named candidates for 58 seats for the elections to the 70-member Delhi Assembly. Mishra, who replaced sitting party MLA Mohan Singh Bisht, made several speeches, denounced as inflammatory by rival parties, just before communal riots broke out in northeast Delhi in February 2020.
The elections are scheduled to be held on February 5 and the votes will be counted on February 8.
