V C Janardhan Rao, 86, chairman & managing director of the city-based Veljan Group was allegedly stabbed to death by his grandson at his Hyderabad residence following a dispute over property matters. The police informed the media that the octogenarian sustained multiple stab wounds, at least 70.

Rao's grandson, K Kirti Teja, 28 attacked him on the night of February 6 with a knife, resulting in his immediate death.

The Panjagutta police further told PTI that the accused also stabbed his mother when she tried to intervene. She sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital.

The accused was was subsequently arrested on Saturday.

What Happened On The Night Of February 6?

Teja and his mother lived in another part of the city and had visited Rao라이브 바카라 house in Somajiguda on Thursday.

While she went to get coffee, an argument broke out between Teja and Rao over the distribution of his property, police told PTI.

Teja took out a knife and 'attacked' his grandfather, accusing him of being indifferent toward him since childhood and "refusing" to distribute the property to him, police said, citing preliminary investigations.

The post mortem report was yet to be confirmed by the police but several reports claimed that the victim was stabbed more than 70 times.

The accused had recently returned to Hyderabad from the US after completing his master라이브 바카라 degree, police said.

Based on a complaint, a case of murder was registered against the accused, and he was arrested, police added. Further investigation is ongoing.
