Three teachers have been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old female student at a Tamil Nadu government school.
As per local reports, the student was assaulted by the three teachers inside the washroom of the middle school in Krishnagiri district.
The three teachers, aged between 37 and 47, have been arrested under various sections of the POCSO act. Furthermore, they have also been suspended by the District Education Officer.
As per a report by the Deccan Herald , the incident came to light after the headmaster of the school went to the student's house to inquire why she hadn't attended school since January 5, 2025.
The assault occurred on January 2, 2025. The parents of the girl initially told the headmaster that the student was not attending school due to acute pain in her abdomen.
However, the parents opened up and told the headmaster about the incident after she inquired into the matter. The teachers allegedly took turns to assault and violate the minor girl on the school premises.
"The girl라이브 바카라 parents narrated their child라이브 바카라 harrowing experience following which the headmaster informed the DEO and called the Child Helpline. Accordingly, a case was registered against the three teachers at the Bargur All Women라이브 바카라 Police Station," a police officer was quoted as saying by Deccan Herald.
As per a TOI report, the student is now receiving mental health support and therapy.
Meanwhile, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami called out Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin and stated that the DMK leader should take "full responsibility" for the incident as "girls are not safe in govt schools and colleges."
