ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 Teams
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 is the biggest so far with 20 teams featuring in the mega event taking place in the West Indies and the United States of America. 20 teams had never featured in any World Cup in cricket. Bigger than ever, the World Cup promises to bring bumper entertainment and thrill for cricket fans.
The 20 teams participating in the event are: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, USA, England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman, New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal.
Among these teams, Uganda, Canada and the co-hosts USA are the only sides that will feature in the T20 World Cup for the first time.
England, Pakistan, New Zealand, India, Australia, South Africa, Netherlands, and Sri Lanka secured spots in this tournament by ranking among the top eight in the previous T20 World Cup held in 2022 in Australia while Afghanistan and Bangladesh qualified as the next best teams in the ICC rankings. The West Indies and the USA got through as hosts.
Ireland and Scotland qualified through the European qualifiers, and Papua New Guinea booked their tickets from the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier.
Canada earned their place through the Americas Qualifier. Nepal and Oman clinched spots as Asian qualifiers, while Namibia and Uganda booked their spots through the African Qualifier.
The 20 teams have been divided into four groups with every group having five sides. The top two from these groups will go to the next round which is the Super 8 stage. In the Super 8 stage, the eight sides will be divided into two groups. The top two teams from the Super 8 groups will advance to the semifinals. The winner of the two semifinals will play in the final.

Group B - England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman
Group C - New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea
Group D - South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal
