The announcement also comes to mark two years from the game, which has been finalised to be played from March 11-15, 2027.
The historic test will commemorate the first-ever Test played between the arch-rivals Australia and England in Melbourne back in 1877, and also will mark the latest home summer the country has hosted since the 1978-79 series against Pakistan.
While Melbourne라이브 바카라 Boxing Day Test is a massive crowd gatherer, the 150th Anniversary match as a day-night fixture, starts on a Wednesday to encourage attendance outside of the school holiday period.
"The 150th Anniversary Test at the MCG will be one of the great cricket events and playing under lights will be a fantastic way to celebrate both our game라이브 바카라 rich heritage and Test cricket라이브 바카라 modern evolution,” CA CEO Todd Greenberg was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au
“It will also help ensure more people are able to attend and watch what will be a fantastic occasion,” he added.
The Adelaide Oval will host the December Christman Test for next seven years in either day or the day-night format.
However, the next Ashes Test at the venue in 2025-26 will be a day affair.
The celebratory Test will come after Australia라이브 바카라 five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy away from home that year, and it also will mean that the Australian and English players will arrive a little late to the Indian Premier League (IPL), which could run from March 14 to May 30.
