Here are the highlights of the third day of the opening Test match between Bangladesh and South Africa played at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on Wednesday. The hosts were trailing by 101 runs in the third innings when the play started and now they have taken an 81-run lead thanks to Mehidy Hasan Miraz who is unbeaten on 87. Play Stopped Due To Bad Light

Bangladesh were trailing by 101 runs when the third day's play started and they lost four more wickets. Jaker Ali made a fighting fifty but was soon dismissed. Mehidy Hasan Miraz played an unbeaten knock of 87 runs and took Bangladesh's lead to 81 runs. He is accompanied by Nayeem Hasan who is unbeaten on 18 runs. Play was stopped first because of rain then due to bad light.

What Happened On Day 2

Kyle Verreynne completed his hundred on the second day of the Test match and Wiaan Mulder also lost his wicket just after completing his half-century. South Africa took a 202-run lead in the fist innings and Bangladesh lost three early wickets in response. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Mushfiqur Rahim are unbeaten at the crease with Bangladesh still trailing by 101 runs.
