Bangladesh are back in whites after nearly five months, with Najmul Hossain Shanto leading them into familiar territory. The Tigers last played Test cricket during their November tour of the West Indies and will be keen to reassert dominance at home.

Zimbabwe, bruised from a recent defeat to Afghanistan, have questions to answer. Their batting has looked fragile, but the pace trio of Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, and Victor Nyauchi gives them a fighting chance. If they’re to challenge Bangladesh, the bowlers will need to do the heavy lifting.
