The Delhi vs Madhya Pradesh SMAT 2024 Semi-Final 2  match will take place on Friday, December 13, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium at 4:30 PM.

Madhya Pradesh's bowling effort was outstanding, restricting Delhi to a modest total of 146. While Delhi had a strong start, their innings stalled after a flurry of quick wickets.

Skipper Ayush Badoni's decision to put runs on the board and create pressure backfired, as he was dismissed by Venkatesh Iyer. Iyer then picked up Himmat Singh in the same over, and Delhi lost three wickets for just 25 runs during that phase. Anuj Rawat managed to get going only towards the end, but Delhi struggled to find boundaries consistently throughout the innings.

We are back with second innings, Madhya Pradesh need 147 runs in 20 overs to reach the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the first time since 2011.

Rajat Patidar, MP captain said: "The way we have played so far in the tournament, all credit goes to our bowling unit. They bowled well even on a ground like this where bowling is difficult. I just try to focus on how I can give impact to the game."

Ayush Badoni, Delhi's captain, reflected on the team's performance after their loss, acknowledging missed opportunities. He noted, "We left runs out there. We could have attacked a bit more in the powerplay, but it was also in our thoughts to attack at the end. Unfortunately, the execution didn’t happen as planned."
