Paarl Royals are in form with four wins and just a sole loss while Durban Super Giants have not won a game since their opening match's victory over Pretoria Capitals. Two of their games have been washed out while they have lost three. The Super Giants are at the bottom of the standings while the Royals are at the second spot in the table.

The conditions are yet again a little dry and another mid-scoring game seems to be on the cards.

Durban Super Giants open with de Kock and Breetzke while Fortuin has got the ball for the Royals

A crisp start for de Kock. He had batted in the middle order till now in the tournament but now he is back to the opening slot and is looking good so far. He sends Keith Dudgeon to the boundary ropes twice in the second over.

Fortuin is yet again keeping the leash on opposition's run scoring. He has bowled two overs for just four runs so far. Overall, four overs gone and just 23 runs scored. de Kock and Breetzke need to up the ante now.

Durban Super Giants are getting some runs here. Quinton de Kock is in fine touch and has taken them to the 50-run mark. He has moved to 30 from 18 balls while Breetzke is struggling at 18 from 19 balls.

An eventful ninth over of the game. Fortuin has completed his spell of four overs and yet again he was brilliant. He dismissed Breetzke and gave away just 13 runs. As tight as it can be. And he richly deserves the wicket. Interestingly, now Klaasen has arrived in the middle.

DSG were 61 without loss at one point and now all of a sudden they have lost four wickets at 81. Breetzke, de Kock, Williamson, Klaasen all gone. All of them have fallen to spinners. Things not looking good for DSG now. Mulder and Smuts in the middle right now. They can not wait much if DSG want to get to 150.

A bit of acceleration by Smuts while Mulder is still waiting. This partnership has now added 34 from 23 balls. They need to keep goiing though. Not much batting left for DSG after this pair.

A brilliant last over from Eshan Malinga. Just five runs from it and DSG do not get the finish they desired. Wiaan Mulder could never find his rhythm and has been run out off the final ball of the innings for 24 off 27. Poor innings from him.

De Kock got 43 off 30, Smuts got 32 off 22 and no one else could score fluently and DSG end up with 142. Mujeeb with two wickets for the Royals while Fortuin and Root bowl economic spells with a wicket each to their names.

Paarl Royals need 143 to win.

PR 9/1 (1) need 134 runs

An eventful first over of the innings. Pretorius hit two boundaries to open his account but Woakes managed to get his countryman Root on the fifth ball. Rubin Hermann is the new man in.

Paarl Royals have lost both their openers now. Pretorius did play some eye-catching shots in his small knock of 25 from 12 ball but too joins Root in the pavillion now. Hermann and van Buuren have the responsibility to build a partnership now.

PR 70/2 (6) need 73 runs in 84 balls

Rubin Hermann smashes Woakes for 20 in the final over of the powerplay and Paarl Royals have suddenly dragged the required run rate down to 5.21. Hermann has raced to 41 off just 18 balls and Durban really need to find a way to dismiss him.

PR 90/3 (11) need 53 runs in 54 balls

Miller and van Buuren are taking there time and this is what Hermann's 44 off 22 has allowed Paarl Royals to do. They can play with ease and still win the game. However, to get the bonus point, they need to up the ante. Miller is on the crease so that can not be ruled out.

PR 106/3 (13) need 37 runs in 42 balls

So far it does not seem that the Royals are in any need of that bonus point. They need to score 37 in three overs to get that extra point. Will they go after that or just cruise to victory? With Miller at the crease you would expect them to have a crack at it.

No bonus point for Paarl Royals. 16 overs are gone and they still need seven runs to wrap up this game. They could have gone harder at it to get that extra point. Anyways, they are set to climb to the top of the table tonight.

Dinesh Karthik hits the winning boundary and it is a one-sided win for the Royals. 15 ball were still left in the contest and the Royals have already sealed the win. A comprehensive victory.

Fifth win for Paarl Royals in six games now and they are back on the top of the table. Meanwhile, Durban Super Giants are stuck at a single win in seven matches with this being their fourth loss apart from two washed out games. They keep languishing at the bottom of the standings.

Once Ruben Hermann's 22-ball 44 powered Paarl Royals to 70 in the powerplay, the game was already over. In a chase of 143, half the runs were scored in the powerplay and that killed the game. It was a proper team performance from the Royals who first restricted the Super Giants to 142 with Mujeeb, Root and Fortuin bowling economical spells. In replay Pretorius hit some blows opening the innings and then Hermann took over. After that it was a cake walk for the Royals and they won by five wickets.

Bjorn Fortuin is the Player of the Match and he deserves it as well. Brilliant spell of four overs, three of them in the powerplay, where he conceded just 13 runs and got the wicket Matthew Breetzke.
