After having won the toss and opting to bat first, the Strikers had to thank Alex Ross who scored a quickfire 29-ball 47 down the order to steer the visitors to a commendable 186/5 in 20 overs.
In reply, the hosts started off well with Mitchell Owen (37) and Matthew Wade (27) stitching up a fifty-run stand of the opening partnership. However, the Hurricanes kept losing wickets at crucial junctions.
It was then left to Tim David (62 not out) to take his side home, who smacked six sixes and three fours in this blistering cameo.
