Mohammed Shami came to bowl the first over and started with a maiden over. Then, playing his ODI match, Harshit Rana came to bowl the second over. Ben Duckett and Phil Salt are England openers. Duckett took a triple on the third delivery and Salt opened his account with a boundary. He ended the over with another four. 11 Runs from his first over.

Harshit Rana bowled a maiden over after leaking 11 runs in his first over. He was called back to bowl the sixth over and he conceded 26 runs including three sixes and two fours. England crossed the 50-run mark in just the sixth over.

Phil Salt and Ben Duckett were going great but while trying to take the third run, Salt lost his wicket in the ninth over. Harshit Rana came to bowl in the next over and he dismissed first Duckett then Harry Brook on the last delivery of the over. England lost three wickets in quick succession.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma came to open the batting with Jofra Archer opening the bowling attack. Jaiswal faced Archer in his debut ODI match and opened the run-account with a single on the third delivery. Just one runs from the first over.

Shreyas Iyer is trying to go after every delivery and he has been successful in connecting every ball with the middle of his bat. Ravindra Jadeja targeted Saqib Mahmood and hit a boundary then he got an edge but wicketkeeper Phil Salt could not collect that and the ball went towards the boundary. India won the match by four wickets and took a lead in the series.

Disappointed not to win the game. We got off to a fantastic start in the powerplay but we lost wickets. Another 40-50 runs could have been handy with the way the wicket played towards the end. The guys started really well. The game was in the balance at that point, but credit to Shreyas Iyer to build that partnership. We have to play better for longer.

Pretty happy. We all knew we are playing this format after a long time. I thought right from the beginning we played as per expectation. They did start well but the way we came back was superb. We wanted a leftie in the middle. It is as simple as that. We know they will spin it back into the left-handers so we wanted a leftie. Gill and Axar batted brilliantly out in the middle. Nothing specific. Overall as a team I just want us as a team to keep doing the right things as much as possible.

I was just trying to be positive. I thought there was something in it for the pacers with the new ball. It was a good call on his part (to attack). I think the pull I hit when was batting around 70 was my favourite. Pitch was a bit two-paced when the spinners bowled. We tried to score square of the wicket. I just want to take how Rohit bhai is thinking and then give whatever inputs I have. He has asked me not to hesitate in giving inputs.
