Connor Esterhuizen and Sediqullah Atal walk out to open for MI Cape Town, and Jason Behrendorff has the ball in hand for Pretoria Capitals. Sediqullah hits the Aussie seamer through extra covers for a sumptuous boundary off the third ball, but just one more run results off the other five deliveries in the opening over.

MICT openers Esterhuizen and Sediqullah have given their side a rollicking start, getting to the 50-run team mark in 31 balls. Esterhuizen in particular is wielding his willow dangerously, having struck three fours and a six already.

Sediqullah departs, but not before scoring a sparkling 74 off 46 balls. Colin Ingram has since fallen cheaply (7 off 7), but Esterhuizen is still going strong, and has completed his half century. The current run rate is around 10 and Cape Town would be eyeing a total in the vicinity of 220.

The Capitals pick up a few crucial wickets in the backend to prevent the Cape Town from flying away with a massive total, but the hosts still cross the 200-run mark. Cameos from Dewald Brevis (9 not out off four) and Delano Potgieter (26 off 15) take MICT to a 201-run total.

The Capitals' chase of Cape Town's 202-run target has begun rather shakily. They have lost five wickets inside the first five overs and are staring down the barrel of another huge defeat. Unless Jimmy Neesham has other plans, that is.

MICT continue to chip away. After the team hat-trick in the fifth over, they have sent back Keagan Lion-Cachet and Senuran Muthusamy to leave the Capitals seven down in the 12th over. The target is well beyond their reach at this point. All that remains to be seen is the margin of victory for Rashid Khan's men.

A tame finish to the final league game of the season. Cape Town have absolutely dismantled the Capitals batting line-up, routing them for a 106-run total to emerge victors by 95 runs. And with that, Pretoria's SA 20 campaign in the ongoing season comes to an end.
