Another big game coming up. Paarl Royals, on the top of the table, face Durban Super Giants who are at the bottom of the standings. While the Royals have sealed qualification, the Super Giants are just a loss away from their campaign getting over.

Durban Super Giants have won the toss and decided to bat first at the Boland Park in Paarl.

DSG captain Keshav Maharaj reckoned that the pitch is dry and thus he wanted to bat first. However, PR captain David Miller said that the pitch will play better under the lights so he wanted to bowl first anyway. A good toss for both the captains.

Paarl Royals fielders are out on the ground and so are the two umpires. De Kock and King in the middle for DSG. Fortuin with the ball once again for Paarl.

A dream start for the Paarl Royals and a dreadful one for the Durban Super Giants. Both the Durban openers are back in the pavillion. Both de Kock and King bowled, the former by Fortuin the latter by Maphaka. The table-toppers yet again show why they are sitting at the top.

A good powerplay for the Royals. They have kept the lid on scoring and DSG have not been able to break free. Williamson and Parsons in the middle right now. They do not just need to build a partnership but also build that at a decent rate. Royals would want their spinners to tighten the grip on scoring.

Stoinis and Williamson in the middle now and DSG need a partnership desperately. After the two openers, they also lost Parsons who was dismissed by Wellalage in the seventh over. Stoinis and Williamson will need to bat at least five overs now.

DSG 86/4 (13)

Fortuin ends his spell with a wicket and it is the big fish. Williamson departs. He was the only DSG batter who was looking like scoring any runs tonight. But Fortuin gets him for 45. Another brilliant spell from the left-arm spinner. 4-0-20-2 is what he finishes with tonight. DSG now hope for a Stoinis special.

Klaasen and Stoinis, two dangerous batters at the crease right now for DSG but this pitch is tough and the Royals spinners are bowling brilliantly. Miller is off the field for the Royals after some issue while fielding.

Stoinis seems to have found his touch. He is smashing it hard at the Boland Park but there is no support from the other end. Klaasen too could not add much and now for thelast two overs, DSG would want Stoinis to keep going.

DSG 143/7 (20)

Stoinis ends with an unbeaten 55 and DSG manage to get to a decent total. Just 13 runs off the last two overs and PR would be very happy with what they have done here. 144 should be chaseable and DSG bowlers will need to do really well.

Pretorius and Root are in the middle to open for PR. Subrayen is opening the bowling for DSG.

Perfect start for DSG as they dismiss Root on the very first ball of the chase. They needed a wicket and Subrayen strikes on the first ball. A big wicket for DSG as Root could hold one end up in this chase. With him gone now, things could become interesting.

PR 41/1 (6) need 103 runs in 84 balls

Pretorius and Hermann have put up a good partnership after Root's first ball wicket. This is something that DSG lacked. PR keeping things under control so far. But this is not an easy pitch to score runs on and DSG would just be looking for an opening to get back in the game. So far, they have bowled all six overs of spin.

PR 64/1 (9) need 80 runs in 66 balls

Pretorius and Hermann are batting really well. They are finding that much-needed boundary whenever the pressure is building. DSG really need a wicket here otherwise the game might just be slipping out of their hands.

PR 92/2 (13) need 52 runs in 42 balls

Hermann departs but he has done his job. A brilliant fifty despite not looking at his best and now he goes back to a Stoinis delivery for 59 from 51 balls. Van Buuren joins Pretorius in the middle. Things looking easy for PR, but DSG bowlers can still make it toughwith wickets.

PR 114/3 (16) 30 runs in 24 balls

PR have lost both their set batters in quick succession and DSG have got two new batters to operate against. A string of dot balls could create a lot of pressure here on the Karthik, van Buuren duo which is in the middle. But at the same time, two fours or a six could seal the game in the favour of the Royals. Interesting endgame coming up.

Paarl Royals win by six wickets!

It was a see-saw encounter and finally the Royals are the ones who came out on top. Galliem smashes Mulder for a six over deep midwicket and the Royals win with a ball in hand. Heartbreaking defeat for the DSG and their hopes of qualifying to the next round are officially over.

Paarl Royals won by 6 wkts

Yet another win for Paarl and they end Durban's hopes of qualifying for the play-offs. Another sluggish track at the Boland Park and Durban really struggled before Williamson's 45 and Stoinis' 55 took them to 143/7. Despite losing Root for a Golden Duck, Paarl rode on a half-century from Hermann and a crucial 43 from Pretorius to lay a solid foundation for the chase before a few hits from Dinesh Karthik helped them close in on the win. Galliem hit the winning runs on the second last ball of the game.

Rubin Hermann is the Player of the Match with his 59 off 51 balls. His innings made it easy for the Royals and he was also the top scorer of the game.

Nothing moves. Paarl Royals continue to be on the top while Durban Super Giants continue to stay at the bottom.
