Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is set to clash with the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in April and the player retention process has been started. (More Cricket News)
The PSL 2025 players draft will take place in Balochistan's Gwadar on Sunday, 11 January where all six teams will pick players in order decided by PCB earlier. Lahore Qalandars will pick the first player in the Platinum 1 category followed by Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultan and Islamabad United in the order.
For the second category in Platinum, Islamabad will go first followed by Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Karachi and Lahore. Quetta Gladiators will go first in the third category for platinum.
Three diamond, three gold, five silver and two emerging player categories are decided with four supplementary players as well. The order to pick players in each category is given below.
A lot of players for the PSL 2025 have already been retained by their franchises. Lahore Qalandars have retained Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Sikandar Raza, Abdullah Shafique and many others.
Peshawar Zalmi has retained Babar Azam and Saim Ayub in the Platinum category. Defending champions Islamabad United have Naseem Shah and captain Shadab Khan in the Platinum category.
