The duo has played out good bowlers and went for runs on only bad deliveries. They also completed fifty-run partnership for the third wicket.

After a 95-run stand for the third wicket between Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell, Shaheen Shah Afridi broke the partnership by dismissing Williamson for 58 runs. Haris Rauf got rid of Tom Latham in the next over when he failed to open his account. Daryl Mitchell is taking the inning forward with Glenn Phillips.

Glenn Phillips and Daryl Mitchell added 50 runs for the fifth wicket with a six off Khushdil Shah in the 36th over. Mitchell is looking to change his gears after rotating strike for the last 20 overs. Glenn Phillips is also hitting boundaries whenever he is getting an opportunity.

Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam opened the batting for Pakistan with Matt Henry opening the bowling attack for the Kiwis. Zaman faced the veteran bowler who started with a wide delivery. Just two runs came from the first over.

Babar Azam lost his wicket to Michael Bracewell in the 10th over when Glenn Phillips took a fine catch to dismiss the veteran Pakistan batter on the last delivery of the powerplay. Pakistan managed to score 52 runs in the first powerplay. Kamran Ghulam joined Fakhar Zaman at the crease.

Mitchell Santner got rid of the set batter Kamran Ghulam in his second over. Fakhar Zaman has started to shift gears as the asking rate was increasing but Ghulam was finding that difficult to find boundaries in between. Mohammad Rizwan has joined Zaman at the crease.

With four wickets down, Pakistan are hopeful of their inexperienced middle-order to cross the line. Mitchell Santner is bowling tight lengths and keeping the batters guessing.

Rachin Ravindra has been hit in the face! He was trying to catch the ball but lost the ball in the air and that hit him in the face. He was bleeding. There was a pin-drop silence on the ground. Physio came to him and took him back to the dressing room where he was applying ice packs on his face. Khushdil Shah lost his wicket in the next over. Salman Ali Agha and Shaheen Shah Afridi are batting with Pakistan still needing 126 runs in the last 11 overs.

New Zealand's comprehensive victory is complete. Matt Henry picks up the last wicket in the form of Naseem Shah, and Pakistan are dismissed for 252 runs in 47.5 overs. Chasing 331 was always going to be a tough ask and despite Fakhar Zaman's 84-run knock, the rapid fall of lower-order wickets spelled doom for the home team. The BlackCaps would be worried about Rachin Ravindra's injury, and the Men In Green about Haris Rauf's side strain.
