For the unversed, Ronaldo compared the top division of French football to the Saudi Pro League and said that SPL was more superior as well as demanding.
The 39-year-old revealed his opinion during an appearance at the Globe Soccer Awards.
Speaking at the event, Ronaldo said: "The Saudi Pro League is better than Ligue 1, of course. I'm not saying that because I play here. I don't care what people think about it. Players should come here and they will see quickly. Just try to do sprints at 38, 39, 40 degrees."
However, the comments lead to quite a bit of chatter and debate across the footballing community. The French football fans came as one, and the support was also backed by Ligue 1라이브 바카라 social media handles.
In a post on the organisation라이브 바카라 Spanish X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Ligue 1 poked fun at Ronaldo, highlighting Lionel Messi라이브 바카라 World Cup triumph in Qatar, with a caption that read: “Leo Messi playing in 38 degrees.”
Ronaldo received the Middle East Best Player award and was also honoured as the all-time top goal scorer at the event organised by his agent Jorge Mendes.
