Man City Stay Alive Crush Brugge 3-1 In Nervy Champions League Clash

Manchester City just managed to survive and conquer Club Brugge with 3-1 not long after halftime at the Etihad to book their place in the knockout stage. The visitors stunned the crowd just before the halftime break when Raphael Onyedika scored from Ferran Jutgla's cross, but City woke up right after halftime. Mateo Kovacic wove through the Brugge defense before scoring their equalizer on the 53rd minute, while Josko Gvardiol was credited with an own goal after Joel Ordonez turned in his path. Savinho secured the win at the 77th minute, chesting down a brilliant John Stones pass before slotting the ball past Simon Mignolet.
