UEFA Champions League 2024-25: Lautaro Martinez Scores Hat-Trick In Inter Milan's 3-0 Win Against Monaco

Lautaro Martinez made history by becoming Inter Milan's top scorer in European competitions after scoring a hat trick against 10-man Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday. With his three goals, Lautaro reached a total of 18 goals in the Champions League, surpassing the previous record held by former Inter and Italy forward Sandro Mazzola, who scored in the old European Cup during the 1960s and 70s. The Inter Milan captain received a standing ovation from the San Siro crowd when he was substituted in the 76th minute, having secured a 3-0 victory and a place in the round of 16 of the revamped Champions League.
