5' Kalinga Lancers score their first goal!!!

Just the perfect start for the Lancers. They get the first PC of the game and convert it straightaway. Alexander Hendrickx fires the drag flick and Vikas Dahiya has no answers for it. Lancers go ahead.

6' Hyderabad Toofans score their first goal!!!

Here is the equaliser. Toofans do not take long to level scores. They get back-to-back PCs and Gonzalo Peillat beats the Lancers defence on the second attempt.

10' How does that not go into the goal. Toofans got a PC and Krishna Pathak made a good save. On rebound we had another shot that was cleared right on the goal-line by the post man. Lancers will breat a sigh of relief here.

First quarter ends. The hooter sounds and a really fast-paced first quarter finishes. Both teams have already scored a goal and are going strong.

Second quarter begins now. Toofans begin with the ball and they are moving forward trying to make an attack but it just goes across the goal.

21' Hyderabad Toofans score their second goal!!!

Brilliant air ball for Casella and he executes a top-class finish to smash the ball into the roof of the net. Toofans take the lead. Brilliant finish from Casella.

30' Big save from Krishna Pathak and Kalinga Lancers can breathe a sigh of relief. Brilliant counter attack from Hyderabad Toofans but Pathak stands tall.

Half-time!

Toofans get a PC just a second before the hooter and they have scored another one. GOAL for Hyderabad Toofans right at the cusp of half-time. Gonzalo Peillat converts the PC with a superb drag flick and Hyderabad are now well ahead in this match.

Second half begins. Kalinga Lancers start with the ball. Can they bounce back? Big, big half an hour for them.

40' A slow start to the third quarter. No team has made a big attack so far to threaten the custodians on either side of the field. Meanwhile, the Toofans have won a PC.

The attempt by Peillat has been blocked by Krishna Pathak in the goal. It was hit high but straight for Pathak to raise his hand at the right time and block.

39' Kalinga Lancers hit the post! They have been a bit unlucky tonight and yet again they hit the post. Thierry Brinkman with the shot for Kalinga Lancers.

Third quarter ends and the scoreline remains as it is. Kalinga Lancers have been denied by some good defence from Hyderabad Toofans. So, the Toofans continue to lead.

Final quarter now undereway. Kalinga Lancers are desperate to get some opening in this game. It has been a good back and forth so far.

48' Fourth goal for Hyderabad Toofans!!!

Tim Brand sneaks this one out of nowhere. Brand runs from the right side on the baseline and shoots from a near impossible angle but he manages to send the ball inside the goal. This should seal the fate of the match.

55' Fifth goal for Hyderabad Toofans!!!

The misery continues for Kalinga Lancers. They have now conceded five. The Lancers had substituted their goalkeeper to go all out with the attack but Toofans are the ones who have staged an attack and that too a successful one. Arshdeep Singh registers himself on the scoresheet.

Full-time!

Hyderabad Toofans beat Kalinga Lancers 5-1.

A big win for Hyderabad Toofans. They kept scoring and scoring even as Kalinga Lancers were not as bad as the scoreline suggests. Gonzalo Peillat (6', 30') scored twice while Maico Casella (21'), Arshdeep Singh (54') and Tim Brand (47') scored once. However, all of this came after Alexander Hendrickx had opened scoring just five minutes after the opening whistle through a Penalty Corner. Ultimately, the Toofans really took the Lancers by storm.

The Toofans now have registered a hat-trick of wins and they climb up to the second spot with 10 points in six games. Kalinga Lancers are at the sixth position with seven points in the same number of matches.
