The ninth edition of the Asian Winter Games returns to Harbin after close to three decades, bigger than ever, with 34 participating countries and about 1,275 athletes. (More Sports News)
Among the 1275 athletes battling it out for glory, 775 are men, and 520 women. Harbin last hosted the Games back in 1996.
Harbin 2025 will officially get underway on Friday, February 7, at the Harbin International Convention Exhibition and Sports Centre, the same arena where the closing ceremony of the event will also be held.
Seven venues will play host to 64 events across 11 disciplines. Ski Mountaineering has replaced Ski Jumping from the previous Games in Japan 2017.
Three new countries - Bhutan, Cambodia and Saudi Arabia will all make their debut at the Games.
India have sent a strong, 59-member contingent to the Games this time around.
