Unbeaten in the tournament so far, the India men's national team will take on South Africa in the second semi-final. The Pratik Waikar-led team topped Group A, ahead of Nepal, with four wins in four. In the quarter-finals, India mauled Group C runners-up Sri Lanka 100-40.
Their opponents South Africa finished runners-up in Group B with three wins and one defeat (vs against Iran, the group winners). In the quarters, South Africa beat Group D winners England 58-38.
Nepal and Iran, first semi-final rivals, also registered comfortable wins in the quarters, against Group C winners Bangladesh 67-18 and Group D runners-up Kenya 86-18, respectively.
India women are also having a perfect Kho Kho World Cup 2025 campaign. The Priyanka Ingle-led side claimed Group A honours with three wins and three. In the quarters, they thrashed Group C runners-up Bangladesh 109-16.
South Africa, India's semi-final opponents, had a perfect record in the group stage, too -- four wins in four. The Group D winners then survived a nervy quarter-final (51-46) outing against Kenya, the Group B runners-up.
In another women's semi-final, Nepal will take on Uganda women. Nepal, the Group C winners (four wins in four) humiliated Group A runners-up Iran 103-8 in the quarters. Group B winners Uganda made short work of Group D runners-up New Zealand 71-26 to make the last four of the competition.
