Holmgren averaged 18.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.89 blocked shots in Oklahoma City's first nine games before fracturing his right hip in a fall against the Golden State Warriors on November 10.
He was the runner-up to San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama for NBA Rookie of the Year last season after appearing in all 82 games for the Thunder and averaging 16.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.32 blocks.
Oklahoma City didn’t miss a beat while Holmgren was sidelined, going 32-7 to move to the top of the NBA standings with a 40-9 record.
