"BORING PERSONAL INFO: This Friday I'll be stepping down as CEO of Fitzdares after 7 glorious years. After Xmas I choose to move on and I’m excited to sit on a few boards and put my bookie feet up," the former CMO of the clothing brand French Connection wrote in a social media post.

Under his leadership, Fitzdares underwent an overhaul of its betting platform boasting a membership of over 2,000 high-value punters, mostly actors, sports personalities and the so-called aristocrats. In 2019, Fitzdares launched its first mobile app, leading Fitzdares and its elite clients in a new direction.

The following year, the heritage betting firm whose history dates back to 1882 opened a private sports and betting venue on Davies Street, Mayfair. Fitzdares also launched its app and platform in Ontario, Canada.

Woodhams was instrumental in the launching of ‘The Racing App,’ a free-to-use resource for horseracing audiences in the UK and Ireland in 2023. He deemed such an app essential to liberalise/democratise a stagnant UK racing scene and he funded it.

"We want to become a leader in sports media and we have created The Racing App, he told Walpole in an interview. "In the next six months it will be the UK라이브 바카라 most popular racing data resource (and it라이브 바카라 free!)."

Woodhams' decision to step down marks the end of 200 years of his family라이브 바카라 involvement in the horseracing sector. Regarded as one of the industry leaders, his resignation as leader of the heritage bookmaker will impact the United Kingdom's gambling and horseracing scene.

"Seven years in racing is like dog years, it's the equivalent of 70 years in a normal job, and I think I have been through probably one of the most tumultuous periods of bookmaking, specifically in reference to horseracing," Woodhams told Racing Post earlier this week.

Fitzdares, in its current avatar, was founded in 2006 by Balthazar Fabricius. It "started off with a traditional private telephone service and then soon after became the first bookmaker to introduce text betting." In 2016, it acquired Sunderlands, a 70-year-old firm that inherited Tom Guntrip's rich legacy.

In the early 1880s, Guntrip, a farmer, famously used trained pigeons to deliver horse racing results and "chalked up prices with a finger in the air".
