Allu Arjun-Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule completed eight days of its release and is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. It has crossed the Rs 1000-crore landmark worldwide and looks set to achieve the Rs 1500-crore mark.
Pushpa 2 collected Rs 282.91 crore on its opening day, Rs 134.63 crore on day 2, Rs 159.27 crore on day 3, Rs 204.52 crore on day 4, Rs 101.35 crore on day 5, Rs 80.74 crore on day 6, Rs 69.03 crore on day 7, and Rs 54.09 crore on day 8.
On its second Thursday, day 8, Pushpa 2's worldwide collection stands at Rs 1,086.54 crore.
Pushpa 2 has become the highest grossing Indian film of 2024. It has surpassed the lifetime worldwide box office collection of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone's Kalki 2898 AD and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan.
For the unversed, Kalki 2898 AD earned Rs 1,042.25 crore during its 9-week run at the global ticket counters, while Pathaan, collected Rs 1,055 crore in its 9-week ticket window.
Also, the actioner has become the fastest Indian film to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark globally. Earlier, Prabhas' Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Kalki 2898 AD took 10 days and 15 days to cross the landmark at the worldwide box office.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is the sequel to 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise.
