Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami campaigned for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday in Delhi라이브 바카라 Karawal Nagar constituency, sharply criticising the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over allegations of corruption and unfulfilled promises.
The BJP is fielding Kapil Mishra in Karawal Nagar, replacing the sitting MLA Mohan Singh Bisht, while AAP has nominated Manoj Tyagi for the seat.
During his address to the electorate, Dhami accused AAP of neglecting Delhi라이브 바카라 development while indulging in corruption. He claimed that AAP had failed to deliver on several of its promises, including the construction of 500 new schools. Instead, he argued, the party had facilitated the proliferation of liquor shops across the city. Dhami also criticized AAP라이브 바카라 handling of key public services, particularly healthcare and education, stating that irregularities had been rampant in these sectors.
“Over the past decade, AAP has done nothing but engage in corruption,” Dhami remarked, highlighting the discrepancies in the city라이브 바카라 governance. He also drew attention to the deteriorating condition of the Yamuna River, alleging that while it flows clean and pure in Uttarakhand, it becomes polluted and unfit for consumption once it reaches Delhi. “The water of Mother Yamuna in Delhi is not fit for irrigation, let alone drinking,” he said.
Dhami contrasted AAP라이브 바카라 record with that of BJP-led states, emphasising the clean governance model under Prime Minister Narendra Modi라이브 바카라 leadership. He claimed that states with a “double-engine” government are progressing rapidly, with no allegations of corruption, unlike Delhi where key leaders have faced legal scrutiny. "From the Chief Minister to the Deputy Chief Minister, Minister, and MLAs, everyone from AAP has been implicated in corruption," he added.
Earlier on the same day, Dhami campaigned in the Wazirpur constituency, where the BJP has fielded Poonam Sharma to contest against AAP라이브 바카라 Rajesh Gupta.
Anurag Thakur confident of BJP라이브 바카라 victory in Delhi
Meanwhile, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur claimed that the BJP was set to win the Delhi Assembly elections with a two-thirds majority, citing public disillusionment with AAP라이브 바카라 governance. “The BJP is at the top in the hearts of the people, and there is only one thing in their hearts – the BJP has to win,” Thakur told PTI.
Thakur went on to accuse AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal of being “anti-women,” citing incidents involving party members such as Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal and current Chief Minister Atishi. He further criticized the party for its failure to deliver on its promises and assured that the BJP would continue all welfare schemes, including free bus services, water, and electricity. "The people of Delhi have understood the reality of excuse-maker Arvind Kejriwal," Thakur stated.
The BJP leader also questioned AAP라이브 바카라 record on fulfilling election promises, urging Kejriwal to answer why many of the schemes announced over the past 11 years remained unimplemented.
In addition to his attacks on AAP, Thakur took a dig at the Congress party, pointing out the contrast in India라이브 바카라 economic standing under the Congress-led UPA government (2004-2014) and the current BJP government. “Under the UPA, corruption was rampant and the country라이브 바카라 economy was at the 10th position in the world. Today, under Modi라이브 바카라 leadership, India라이브 바카라 economy has risen to 5th and will soon climb to 3rd position,” Thakur said.
The assembly elections in Delhi are scheduled to be held on February 5 and the results will be announced on February 8.
