Delhi Businessman Alleges 'Extreme Torture' By In-Laws, Wife As New Video Surfaces

The clip surfaced online on Thursday. The police will add this video as a part in their further investigations, the official said.

The police have found a video recorded by Delhi-based businessman presumably right before he killed himself where he accused his in-laws and wife of torturing him and not respecting the court's order in their divorce case.

The man identified as Puneet Khurana died by suicide In a video he recorded before committing suicide at his residence in the Model Town area of northwest Delhi on Tuesday.

Since then the police have been finding a piece of evidence that could account as a note that he left behind until now. So far the police in a statement said that Khurana's friends and family members have accused his in-laws and wife of threatening him for money and treating him badly.

Police Finds Video Of Khurana Alleging 'Extreme Torture'

The Press Trust of India in a report stated that the police found a 54-minute video of Khurana that he recorded in his mobile phone before hanging himself to death.

An about 2.5-minute clip from the video is being shared on social media in which Khurana said he was depressed and also lists the reasons.

The clip surfaced online on Thursday. The officials told PTI that the police will use this video in their further investigations.

"I am recording my final statement. I am about to commit suicide because I am extremely tortured by my in-laws and my wife. We have already files for a mutual divorce and signed before the court with some terms and conditions," Khurana said in the video.

"We at least committed to respect the court and fulfil those conditions within the period of 180 days. We have already passed 90 days and other 90 days to go. But my in-laws and wife are already pressuring me with new set of conditions which are beyond my capacity. They are asking for another Rs 10 lakh and I don't have the capacity to pay. I cannot ask my parents because they have already suffered enough because of me," Khurana further said in the video.

What Is Police Saying?

The police reportedly said they have conducted the post-mortem examination and handed over his body to his family.

Northwest Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Bhisham Singh said, "Khurana's father Trilok Nath has produced his (Puneet's) mobile phone and other related articles... (which) were taken in police possession. The body will be handed over to the family members after post-mortem."

Khurana's mobile phone has been taken under possession and ACP Rohit Gupta from Model Town is leading the investigation.

The phone has been sent for forensic examination.

Police teams are verifying all the allegations made by the victim's family members.

CCTV Footage Of Khurana And Wife Arguing Surfaces

Another video which is part of a CCTV footage has also surfaced on the social media platforms where Khurana and his wife can be heard arguing in course language.

The video shows the two sitting on two sides of the room as they have a heated exchange of words including his wife claiming that her life has been ruined and then threatened him of revealing what has been happening to his relatives. Khurana then replied "Any day" to the threat.

News 18 quoted Khurana's cousin Jitendra Khurana reacting to the footage where he said, "In the CCTV, it라이브 바카라 clearly seen how rudely and abusively the girl is speaking and Puneet was a decent person. Tell me, where will you find such boys today who don’t react? This is the difference in values, the values our children had, and the values their children have…,".
