And that's that for HS Prannoy. Not the best of starts for India in the All England Open 2025 as Popov takes the match 21-19, 21-16. Prannoy endures another first round exit. The second this year after the Indian Open earlier on.

The men's singles draw is beginning to take shape as the top players secure their victories here in Great Britain. Loh Kean Yew triumphed in an all-Singaporean match against Teh Jia Heng Jason, winning with scores of 21-18, 19-21, and 21-16. The confirmed matchups for the round of 16 so far include sixth seed Li Shifeng facing Toma Junior Popov, along with the anticipated clash between Lakshya Sen and Jonatan Christie.
