Officially, a delay in the game is usually down to weather or adverse rain, but in a bizarre occasion, USA vs Namibia game was delayed due to traffic.

As per a renowned sports journalist Peter Della Penna, the teams did not reach on time due to heavy traffic caused by Ironman race in Muscat, that resulted in the game to be delayed. USA Cricket took to X and informed that the match has been delayed due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.

Replying to the post, Peter wrote, "Apparently, both teams could not get to the ground because a marathon/Ironman road race in Muscat resulted in significant road closures, including the routes that were meant to be taken by the USA and Namibia team buses. Match reduced to 43 overs per side."

However, post all the chaos, the teams did reach the stadium and USA were asked to bat by Namibia in Muscat. Monank Patel and Milind Kumar scored fifties as USA posted 293/8 in 43 overs.

In reply, Namibia could only muster 179 on the board as Milind Kumar's 4/48 ran through the batting order.

The win saw USA take their points tally to 18 points from 13 matches. The Monank Patel-led side USA lead Canada (16) by two points, having played a game more.
