Rohit achieved this milestone when he hit Mohammed Shami for a six over the deep third-man region. With that shot, he also became the fourth batter in IPL history to hit 100 or more sixes at a single venue.
Before him, only Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, and Virat Kohli had managed this feat, all of them at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Rohit came in as an impact substitute for Mumbai Indians and played a short innings. He scored 26 runs from 16 balls, including three sixes. While his knock was brief, the six-hitting record made it a special outing for him.
Rohit has been getting starts in the ongoing IPL 2025 season but is yet to convert them into a big score.
