The development was confirmed by head coach Stephen Fleming on the eve of CSK's crucial home clash against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), after regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out of the tournament due to an elbow fracture.
Gaikwad, who took over the reins from Dhoni in 2024, sustained the injury during CSK라이브 바카라 match against Rajasthan Royals on 30 March in Guwahati.
