This is not the result we wanted. Happy with the way the boys played throughout the tournament. We were 20-25 runs short today. Four-five players were playing this tournament for the first time, but happy with the efforts they put in. I always love playing here. Want to thank the fans for supporting us.

Atharva bowled well, he set the platform for us. Other bowlers later chipped in. We wanted to maintain left-hand, right-hand combination. Kudos to those two batters. I think we have created such a mindset that we try to stay in the present and be positive. We try to keep the momentum on our side always. We broke the jinx today. Whenever Chandu sir (Chandrakant Pandit) comes in front of us, we lose. But we won today and broke that jinx.

As a team we were really confident. I think we bowled very bowled. This total was chaseable at this venue, so we were confident. He (Suryansh Shedge) is a confident guy, backs himself and plays with freedom. He played some crucial knocks for us, so really happy for him.

2024 ends on a sweet note for Shreyas Iyer. After winning an IPL trophy with Kolkata Knight Riders, the batter has guided Mumbai to their second SMAT title, beating MP in the final. What a guy!
