The unbeaten Nepal qualified for the final of the Hong Kong T20I Quadrangular Series 2025 after their match against the hosts was abandoned due to incessant rain at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok on Saturday, 12 April 2025. (More Cricket News)

Hong Kong started well with opener batter Anshuman Rath and Zeeshan Ali. The duo added 36 runs for the first wicket and gave a flying start.

Nandan Yadav got the first breakthrough for Nepal when he dismissed Rath in the fourth over. Lalit Rajbanshi dismissed Nizakat Khan and Zeeshan Ali in the ninth over to give a double blow to the opponents.

Babar Hayat and Kalhan Challu were present at the crease when rain interrupted the match, and the umpires stopped the match. The covers were called on the pitch, and the match was halted.

The match never resumed after that. Umpires called off the match with no result after waiting for a stipulated time. Both teams shared one point each.

Nepal remained unbeaten in the series and qualified for the final, where they will face Kuwait, who defeated Qatar in match 5 earlier on Saturday.

Hong Kong finished with three points and will have to clash with Qatar in the third-place playoff match on Sunday.
