After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Saudi Arabia posted a challenging total of 178/8 in 20 overs, powered by strong knocks from Faisal Khan (62) and Abdul Waheed (55).
Singapore did manage to take wickets at regular intervals, with Harsh Venkataram leading the attack with 4/20 and Kashif Ali Khan picking up 2/32.
Chasing the target of 179 Singapore's batting line-up crumbled under pressure, only managing to reach 82/9 in 20 overs. Aritra Dutta (56) was the top scorer for the team, but his efforts weren’t enough to prevent the inevitable collapse.
Usman Khalid was the standout bowler for Saudi Arabia, taking 3/13, while Waji Ul Hassan supported well with 2/13. Usman Najeeb (1/6) and Zain Ul Abidin (1/12) also picked when it mattered.
With this win, Saudi Arabia remain unbeaten, sitting at the top of the table with 4 points from two matches and a net run rate of +4.050. Singapore, meanwhile, are still winless after two games.
Next up, Saudi Arabia will face Thailand on April 28, while Singapore will take on Thailand on April 26.
Saudi Arabia had defeated Thailand by 66 runs in their opening game of the campaign while Singapore went down to hosts Malaysia in the tournament opener.
