NBA 2024-25: Nikola Jokic Joins Russell Westbrook, Oscar Robertson In Exclusive Club

Nikola Jokic is set to average a triple-double for the season, making him the third player in NBA history to achieve this milestone. This was confirmed when he recorded his 700th assist of the season during a game against the Memphis Grizzlies, ensuring he will average at least 10.0 assists per game. The only other players to have averaged a triple-double for an entire season are Russell Westbrook and Oscar Robertson. Westbrook achieved this feat four times, while Robertson did it in the 1961-62 season. Jokic secured his triple-double with an assist to Christian Braun, which was initially uncredited but later updated. He finished the game with his 34th triple-double of the season. Jokic, a three-time NBA MVP and a top candidate for the award again this year, has more triple-doubles than the next three players combined, with no other player exceeding 10 this season.
