The offensive tackle, who was playing in his second NFL Championship decider, was part of the Philadelphia Eagles side that defeated Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 to win the mega event.
Mailata's journey is worth noting, as he started off from a humble background in Sydney's south-west region. The 27-year-old played a key role in Eagles' victory over the Chiefs, as his first-half performance helped them to a 24-0 lead.
He was crucial in Eagles' opening touchdown - a maneuver called as 'tush push' that saw MVP Jalen Hurts find his way to the end zone despite a load of bodies.
Mailata's offensive play and dodginess helped Hurts to stamp his authority in the game. The Aussie, who weighs in at 166kg and stands at a 2.03m tall, posed his authority on the game.
“You have got to want to be more physical,” Mailata was quoted post Eagles' victory in Fox Sports NFL. “That was a great defence we were going up against so we knew we had to answer that call. And that ain’t easy, you have to have the want to.”
“It라이브 바카라 a completely new team, that라이브 바카라 the beauty about it, the culture that we built early on,” Mailata said. “We left that baggage of ‘22 because we didn’t want to bring that to the new season,” he added.
The other Aussies to have appeared in a Super Bowl are - Ben Graham for Arizona in 2009, San Francisco라이브 바카라 Mitch Wishnowsky and Arryn Siposs in 2022.
