The clay-court season is underway in Colombia, with Copa Colsanitas 2025 set to take place from 31 March to 6 April at the Country Club de Bogota. Since its inception in 1988, this WTA 250 event has been a platform for lower-ranked players to make their mark. (More Tennis News)
The 27th edition of the Copa Colsanitas features a competitive singles draw of 32 players, headlined by World No. 50 Marie Bouzkova of Czechia. The second seed is Colombian native and defending champion Camila Osorio, ranked 54th.
The other top players taking part in the tournament are American player Alycia Parks (ranked 59th) and Colombia라이브 바카라 Emiliana Arango (ranked 79th), seeded third and fourth respectively.
Germany's Laura Siegemund and Tatjana Maria, and Spain라이브 바카라 Sara Sorribes Tormo and Cristina Bucsa will also participate in the event.
The doubles event will be led by the top-seeded pair of Bucsa and Tormo of Spain, having a combined ranking of 68. The other key pairs taking part in the doubles event include the British-American duo of Emily Appleton and Quinn Gleason, as well as the Czech-Polish pair of Marie Bouzkova and Katarzyna Kawa.
This year, the Copa Colsanitas will feature a total prize money pool of USD 275,094. The singles winner will earn USD 36,300 along with 250 WTA ranking points. The runner-up will get USD 21,484 as well as 163 points.
Semifinalists will get USD 11,970 and 98 points, while quarterfinalists will get USD 6,815 and 54 ranking points.
Despite not being the top seed, local hero Camila Osorio will go into the tournament as the favourite having already won the event in 2021 and 2024. A win will take her closer to the record of Colombia라이브 바카라 great Fabiola Zuluaga, who has won the tournament four times.
