According to Sport Business, a mutual decision has been made to delay the event that the International Olympic Committee and Saudi Arabia partnered in by at least 12 months.

The Esports Olympic Games was set to be held around November 2025, but there has been dissatisfaction among the publishers with respect to the slow pace of preparation and lack of information.
