Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh teaser was unveiled earlier this week, increasing excitement among fans. The teaser showed Akshay Kumar playing the role of a lawyer. He is portraying C Sankaran Nair, who challenged the Britishers to expose the truth behind the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
On Friday, March 28, the makers unveiled the first-look motion posters of Ananya Panday and R Madhavan, who are playing key roles in the upcoming film.
In the video, Ananya can be seen playing a lawyer, who gives a powerful voiceover. "Uss din Jallianwala Bagh me jo hua uska sach puri duniya ko pata chalna chahiye" (What happened that day at Jallianwala Bagh, the truth must be told to everyone), she says.

R Madhavan's character, advocate Neville Mckinley, is also introduced with a video and the caption read: "Sharp, fearless, undeniable... but playing for the other side! Introducing R. Madhavan as Neville Mckinley in Kesari Chapter 2."
Kesari 2 is based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. It is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films, and is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi.
It is all set to hit the theatres on April 18, 2025.
Kesari, which starred Akshay Kumar, released in 2019. It revolved around the events, that led to the Battle of Saragarhi, where Havildar Ishar Singh, a soldier in the British Indian Army's 36th Sikh Regiment, led 21 Sikh soldiers to fight against 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in 1897.
