The Diplomat Box Office Day 3: John Abraham Starrer Crosses Rs 10 Crore Mark

The total box office collection of The Diplomat in three days stands at Rs 13.30 crore.

John Abraham's The Diplomat, which hit the screens on March 14, is inching closer to Rs 15 crore mark at the box office. The political thriller opened to lukewarm response on Day 1, as it collected Rs 4 crore, followed by Rs 4.65 crore on its second day. On its first Sunday, day 3, it collected the same amount as on day second, according to Sacnilk. The total box office collection of The Diplomat in three days stands at Rs 13.30 crore.

On its first Sunday, the film had an overall 19.61% Hindi occupancy, with maximum occupancy of 28.55% during the evening shows and morning shows had minimum occupancy of 8.86%.

The Diplomat is still facing a tough competition from Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava. It earned Rs 6.81 crore on its 31st day of release, and the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 561.46 crore

Directed by Shivam Nair, The Diplomat is based on a true story. John Abraham played the real-life Indian diplomat J.P. Singh, who embarks a risky mission to rescue the ‘Daughter of India’.

The film also stars Sadia Khateeb, Sharib Hashmi, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra in key roles. 

The Diplomat is produced by T-Series' Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, John Abraham of JA Entertainment, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl of Wakaoo Films, Sameer Dixit and Jatish Varma of Fortune Pictures, and Rakesh Dang of Seeta Films.
