The weekend is about to commence and there are several films and shows lined up for release this week (April 28-May 4) across several OTT platforms and theatres. From Suriya's much-awaited Retro to Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Costao, here's the list of major OTT and theatrical releases of the week.

Top 5 OTT Releases This Week

1. Costao - May 1 (Zee5)

Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Costao is a biographical drama that follows the story of fearless customs officer Mr. Costao Fernandes who is on a solo mission to put an end to the state's powerful smuggling syndicate. Alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the film also stars Priya Bapat, Kishore Kumar G and Gagan Dev Riar in key roles. Set in the 1990s Goa, it is directed by Sejal Shah.

2. The Four Seasons - May 1 (Netflix)

The eight-part comedy series is adapted from Alan Alda라이브 바카라 1981 romantic comedy film. The story revolves around a group of six old friends, who are also three couples, go on a vacation together only to learn that one of the couples are going to separate. The series stars Tina Fey, Colman Domingo, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Steve Carell, Marco Calvani, and Erika Henningsen, amongst others.  

3. Another Simple Favour - May 1 (Prime Video)

It is thriller and comedy genre film, which is a sequel to the 2018's mystery thriller A Simple Favour. The film, starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively explores the themes of complexities of female relationships, especially the dynamic between motherhood and professional identity. It also stars Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Elizabeth Perkins, Bashir Salahuddin, Allison Janney, and Aparna Nancherla, among others.

4. Black White And Gray - Love Kills - May 2 (Sony Liv)

This dark romance series revolves around the story of a journalist Daniel Gary (Tigmanshu Dhulia), investigating a series of murders that leads to a young man. During his investigation, Gary unravels deep-rooted crime, corruption, patriarchy and social divides.

5. Kull - The Legacy Of The Raisingghs - May 2 (JioHotstar)

The series revolves around the story of a royal lineage in Bikaner, where the Raisinggh siblings get into a power struggle, for the throne after their father's demise. It is a gripping tale of  betrayal, power, loyalty, and secrets. The show has been produced by Balaji Digital and created by Ekta R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. Kull stars Nimrat Kaur, Ridhi Dogra, and Amol Parashar in key roles.

Theatrical Releases This Week

1. Raid 2 - May 1

Raid 2 is a sequel to 2018 blockbuster, Raid. Ajay Devgn has returned as Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Amay Patnaik, while Riteish Deshmukh is portraying the role of a corrupt politician, named Dada Manohar Bhai. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film also stars Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak, and Amit Sial, among others in significant roles.

2. Retro - May 1

Suriya's 44th film Retro is one of the most-anticipated movies. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the gangster drama also stars Pooja Hegde. It revolves around a gangster (Suriya) who swears to give up on violence and leave his past behind but has to break the vow to defeat his enemies and protect his estranged wife (Pooja Hegde).

3. Thunderbolts - May 1

Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts is the final film of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will hit the Indian screens on May 1, 2025. The film revolves around a group of supervillains and antiheroes coming together to fight Sentry, the villain.

4. HIT: The Third Case - May 1

The crime thriller stars Nani as a menacing IPS officer, Arjun Sarkaar, who indulges in a blood bath. He is transferred from Visakhapatnam to Jammu and Kashmir to solve a case, and unravels a twisted and gritty tale of violence and cruelty he never expected. Hit 3 also stars Srinidhi Shetty, 

5. The Bhootnii - May 1

Set in St. Vincent College, the horror comedy revolves around a spirit who awakens on Valentine's Day to haunt those who make fun of her. The college calls a 'Ghostbuster' Baba to get rid of the spirit, but it is too powerful and mysterious. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy and Sunny Singh in key roles.
