The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) said on Saturday that it has identified the Israeli soldiers who were responsible for killing a six-year-old Palestinian girl named Hind Rajab, her six family members and the two medics on the way to rescue her.
Last year on 29 January, a car with Rajab and her family was hit by Israeli tank fire while they were attempting to move out of Gaza. Her family members died on the spot. Rajab, while alive and injured, spoke to Palestinian Red Crescent Society dispatchers over the phone, saying “I’m so scared.. please come,” according to media reports.
The ambulance on the way to Rajab was also shelled and burned, killing the two medics onboard, according to HRF. Ten days later, rescue workers found Rajab라이브 바카라 body lying next to her cousin Layan.
The foundation, named in her honour, released the information on Saturday, May 3, 2025 - as it would have been her seventh birthday.
“ On this day of remembrance and heartbreak, the Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a war crimes complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague. After a year of tireless investigation, we have identified the military unit responsible, as well as the commander who led the operation that killed Hind, her family, and the two medics who tried to save her,” says The Hind Rajab Foundation.
The statement further said that they will publicly name the commander responsible for killing Rajab: Lieutenant Colonel Beni Aharon, Commander of the 401st Armored Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces at the time of the killing.
“It was under Lt. Col. Aharon라이브 바카라 command that an Israeli tank unit attacked the civilian vehicle of Hind라이브 바카라 family, and later destroyed the Palestine Red Crescent ambulance dispatched to rescue her,” the statement mentioned.
They also identified the battalion operating under Lt. Col. Aharon라이브 바카라 authority in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood on the day of Rajab라이브 바카라 killing, along with its field commanders and operational officers.
“Today, Hind should have been blowing out candles. Instead, we are naming her killer,” said Dyab Abou Jahjah, the co-founder of Hind Rajab Foundation and its parent organization, the March 30 Movement.
“While we begin by calling on the ICC Office of the Prosecutor to issue an arrest warrant for Lt. Col. Beni Aharon, we are preparing additional legal complaints against the battalion라이브 바카라 officers,” the statement added. It further mentioned that the complaint will be filed in qualified national jurisdictions under universal jurisdiction principles, involving every officer, those who gave the orders, those who fired, those who covered it up, and those who let the incident occur.
How did they identify the Israeli unit?
HRF mentioned that the complaint is not an act of revenge but “a solemn legal act rooted in evidence, law, and the humanity Hind was denied.” They mentioned that the accused were found through groundbreaking investigations of Forensic Architecture, Sky News, and others. “We have gathered what courts need to act, and now we ask them to do so—with urgency and courage.”
