The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, passed after intense debates in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, widens the divide between the government and the Opposition. In Bihar, JD(U) sees resignations after the Waqf Amendment Bill because many Muslim leaders and workers quit the party.
Ali Anwar, a Pasmanda Muslim leader and former close associate of Nitish said that, "all Muslim organisations collectively boycotted their Iftar party. In retaliation, they sent their people to Imarat-e-Shariah and tried to take control over it." He added that in Nitish Kumar's Bihar Sharif, there was a communal riot, violence broke out and even the library was set on fire on 31 March 2023. Muslims have now learned that this party has completely sided with the BJP, and there라이브 바카라 nothing left of their so-called secular credentials."
Patna resident Zafar Imam said that, Nitish Kumar is now fully exposed and Muslims and even Pasmanda Muslims are absolutely not going to vote for him this time.
Rajiv Ranjan, National Spokesperson of Janta Dal JD(U) said that, those Muslims who have apprehensions related to Waqf then they need to trust Nitish Kumar because he is at the forefront among the few leaders who have sincerely worked for the minorities. He added that, as long as Nitish is there, there will be no misuse of Waqf properties.”
