A day after the United States and Russia held talks to bring an end to the Ukraine War, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has taken a jibe at Donald Trump. Responding to Trump's remarks as to why Kyiv was not invited for these talks, Zelenskyy stated that the US President is living in a "disinformation bubble".

"Unfortunately, President Trump – I have great respect for him as a leader of a nation that we have great respect for, the American people who always support us – unfortunately lives in this disinformation space,” Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy's remarks came a day after US President Trump falsely accused Ukraine was starting the war in February 2022.

Speaking to reporters at Mar-a-Lago, Trump said - "Today I heard, ‘Oh well, we weren’t invited. Well, you been there for three years. You should’ve ended it after three years. You should’ve never started it. You could’ve made a deal.”

With this statement, Trump reinforced the incorrect statement that Ukraine started the war, which has been a statement popularized by the Kremlin and Russian propaganda.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine began in 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea and started to sponsor pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine. In 2022, the conflict escalated into a war after Russian forces moved into the capital city of Kyiv.

Trump, who remains in his "disinformation bubble" further called for Zelenskyy to be replaced as President.

Since Russia launched its war in Ukraine, Kyiv has been under martial law and hence as not been able to conduct fresh presidential elections, which were due in 2024.

"We have a situation where we haven’t had elections in Ukraine, where we have martial law,” Trump said, incorrectly claiming that Zelensky라이브 바카라 approval rating was “at 4%.”

However, as per polls, since the start of the war, Zelenskyy's approval rating has not dropped below 50 percent. It currently stands at 57 percent.

“If someone wants to replace me right now, it won’t work. The statements about his approval rating at 4 per cent is Russian disinformation. Trump is trapped in this disinformation bubble," the Ukrainian president added further.
